ADA Advisory Committee
The ADA Advisory Committee was established by the Department of Administrative Services to focus on the unique issues related to building and facility accessibility, and to make recommendations to DAS and to the Iowa Vertical Infrastructure Advisory Committee.
The charges established for the ADA Advisory Committee are to:
- Review improvements necessary to meet the requirements for accessibility to state-owned buildings and facilities by individuals with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
- Establish priorities for removing architectural barriers.
- Recommend funding levels for on-going improvements.
