Modular Office Systems Standard

Purpose:
To provide consistency in the usage of modular office furnishing products at the seat of government.
Product Characteristics:
Modular panels are available in heights of 34, 42, 48, 62, and 80-inch. Industry standards are 34 - 80-inch. Floor to ceiling applications are also available for qualifying agencies and personnel.
Modular panel widths available are 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, and 60-inch on panel heights of up to 80 inches. Floor to ceiling applications will have the same standards as 80-inch panels.
Modular panels will be laminated panel, hard surface covered with fabric or acoustical covered with fabric.
Connectors will come in sizes from 34 to 80-inch and will accommodate two-way 90-degree, three-way T, four-way intersection and two-way 180-degree intersections. All panel connections will be made using wedge block and draw rod assembly, which includes all corner connectors and panel-to-panel connections. However, connections may be made to a system currently in place that does not include the wedge block and draw rod assembly. Lengths specified include 34, 42, 48, 62 and 80-inch, depending on the configuration.
Finished ends that show will be painted metal, or fabric depending upon the application needed.
Wall mount accessories will include T connectors and wall hanger strips for non-panel applications on hard wall offices.
Energy components will allow six-wire/three-circuit as well as eight-wire/four-circuit applications. Power poles will accommodate power and data applications.
Wire management will allow powered and non-powered applications as well as data and phone management capabilities.
Work surfaces. Countertops and tables will be 1" or 1 1/8" laminate covered with bullnose finished ends.
Overhead storage applications will come in widths from 24 to 60-inch. Shelves, both, low and high, come in the same widths. Fronts to overhead storage can be fabric covered or laminate.
All modular systems will allow filing that can hang on, free-stand, or be mobile on wheels.
Accessories will be adaptable to the system provided.
